Battery Maintenance
Batteries are among the most frequent and highest cost drivers for scissor lift owners. Batteries that are not maintained will deteriorate over time and will need to be replaced sooner than needed. Therefore, inspecting and maintaining batteries is vital to ensure they are sufficiently charged and water levels are sufficient.

Tips for Maintaining your Scissor Lift Batteries

Clean battery trays to remove and remove dirt. Make sure batteries stay dry and clean. Otherwise, surface discharge can occur, which can lead to reduced operating times between charges.
Run an amp-draw test. Use a high-quality digital battery tester to ensure each battery is performing to its recommended specification.
Carry out tests - plug in the battery charger & check that all batteries are charging, replacing any underperforming batteries.

A battery that is not maintained may need to be replaced within one year, whereas a well-maintained battery can last as long as three years.

IPS Ireland Increases Vehicle Fleet

Irish owned spare parts company IPS Ireland - have increased their vehicle presence adding two additional parts vans to their fleet. The Access Platform Parts Specialists and supplier of all powered access equipment now have a total of 4 parts vans on the road supporting their customers throughout Ireland.

According to Mark Lynn, Managing Director of Lynn Motors who personally delivered the new Peugeot Partner Professional vans to IPS Irelands head office...

IPS Irelands Business Development Manager Trevor Lambe, who accepted the handover from Lynn motors stated...

Dundalk based company IPS Ireland also known as the ‘access parts specialists’ have increased their vehicle fleet with the addition of a new parts van. The hand over took place in IPS headquarters where Lynn Motors delivered the sleek Peugeot Expert Professional Van to IPS Irelands Parts Sales Manager Gary Power.

Mark Lynn, managing director of Lynn Motors was delighted to hand over such a state of the art van, stating” he was overwhelmed to see another local business expand and looks forward to future dealings with IPS Ireland as they continue to expand.”

Sales Manager of IPS Ireland Gary Power is overwhelmed by how quickly business has developed over the past 5 years and puts it down to the unbeatable service, quality parts and price the company offers.

IPS Ireland – The Access Parts Specialist showcased an extensive range of powered access parts & accessories along with workshop supplies and consumable stands at The National Ploughing & Machinery Exhibition 2019. The 3 day event took place in Ballinee Co. Carlow and attracted over 300,000 visitors which a record high for the annual show.

IPS Ireland are in operation for the past 5 years and taking over the country nationwide for the high level of service and quality parts. Their head office is based in Dundalk, in close proximity to both Dublin & Belfast and resides in the middle of Irelands M1 Motorways system leading to quick & efficient nationwide delivery.

According to IPS Ireland Parts Manager Gary Power, “ It was our second time exhibiting at the show and it is always a great networking opportunity to meet new and the customers we have been dealing with since day one. We are very hands on when it customer service and we have developed great friendships with our customers, major shows like these help us to solidify this and meet a broader range of customers. It was an extremely busy 3 days with many customers taking up our show specials on the day. Our many giveaways and treats helped attract thousands to come and visit.
